ABOUT ASHLEY DELANE
M.S., CMA, YTU
Ashley DeLane was raised in Louisville, Kentucky where she grew up in everything musical theatre. She started performing at a young age and found her love for the arts which influenced her decision to attend the Youth Performing Arts School for high school as a Dance Major/ Musical Theatre Minor where she graduated in 2008.
Ashley then went on to Wagner College (Staten Island, NY) where she received her B.A. in Theater Performance and a Dance Minor. She graduated as a CMA (Certified Movement Analyst) from the Laban and Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies in 2013 and followed with a year of assistanship. Recently, Ashley became a certified YogaTune Up teacher working in myofascial release and corrective movement. In 2018 she graduated from Arizona Still University with her Masters in Science majoring in Kinesiology (Corrective Exercise & Rehabilitation Concentration).
From 2014-2018 Ashley DeLane was a Professor at Wagner College teaching a variety of classes including Movement for the Performer I/II, Stretch and Fitness, Introduction to Acting, Jazz III/IV, Ballet I/II, Musical Theatre Dance, and Musical Theatre Styles. She has choreographed a variety of Musicals and performed regionally.
With a love for somatic practices, dancing, singing, acting, film, and choreography she is excited to continually fuse all of this education together teaching, choreographing and performing.

CURRENT & UPCOMING ENDEAVORS

Ashley just returned to NYC after a full summer of creativity. For her 4th season at the MacHaydn Theatre she Associate Choreographed A CHORUS LINE while being the standby for Cassie & Sheila. Next, she got to hop on stage for THE FULL MONTY playing Estelle. She finished her season Choreographing and Assistant Directing FOREVER PLAID with her long time collaborator James Barry!
Ashley is currently getting settled back in but hopes the choreography fairy is not far behind. She is excited to continue her work as a choreographer, performer, educator, and dance competition judge in the upcoming months! Meanwhile, she will be training for when the next opportunity presents itself!
